We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Data Protection Act (FADP). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies in an individual case, we comply with it as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When you open our website, our hosting provider, Infomaniak Network SA in Geneva, stores technical access data: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and operating system. This data is required for the secure and stable operation of the website. The servers are located in Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When you place an order, we process the details you enter during checkout: name, billing and delivery address, e-mail address, telephone number, products ordered and payment method. We need this data to perform the contract: to process your order, deliver it, issue the invoice and answer any questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You can order as a guest or open a customer account. In your account you can see your orders and manage your addresses; you can ask us to delete the account at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For delivery we pass your name and delivery address to Swiss Post or its partner companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We keep order and invoice data for as long as the law requires, as a rule ten years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
TWINT:<\/strong> the payment is handled by TWINT AG, Zurich, and your bank. We receive confirmation of the payment, but no account details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Invoice:<\/strong> for purchases on invoice we use your billing address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When you write to us using the contact form or the \u00abFor businesses\u00bb form, we receive your details by e-mail: name, e-mail address, optionally telephone number, company and your message. Form data is not stored on the website. We use it only to answer your enquiry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our e-mail mailbox is operated by Google (Gmail). E-mails sent to us are therefore processed on Google servers, which may also be located outside Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The WhatsApp button takes you to WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Limited). WhatsApp only receives your data once you send a message there; its data protection terms then apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use:<\/p>\n\n\n\n With \u00abNecessary cookies only\u00bb you decline everything else. You can change your choice at any time via \u00abCookie settings\u00bb in the footer. Google is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. You can withdraw your consent at any time via \u00abCookie settings\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After an order we invite you by e-mail to review the products you bought. To send this invitation we use the CusRev service (Customer Reviews), which receives your e-mail address, your name and the products ordered. If you do not wish to receive such an e-mail, a short message to us is enough. Reviews you submit appear on the product page under the name you chose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Newsletter sign-up.<\/strong> When you sign up on our website, we store your email address, your first name and the language of the page. Your subscription only takes effect once you click the link in our confirmation email. We record the time of confirmation. If you have never ordered from us, you then receive a personal discount code that only works with this email address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Emails after an order.<\/strong> As stated when you order, we occasionally send our customers emails about our coffee range. You can opt out at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cart reminders.<\/strong> If you enter your email address at checkout and do not complete the order, we store the address, your first name and the contents of your cart for up to 7 days and remind you of it by email at most twice (after about 30 minutes and after 2 hours). If you have already ordered but not paid, you instead receive a single payment reminder. Every reminder contains an unsubscribe link.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Content and language.<\/strong> News, offers and coffee tips, twice a month at most. So that you receive our emails in your language, we store the language of your most recent order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Analysis.<\/strong> Our emails tell us whether they were opened and which links were clicked. We use this to improve our emails and to see which orders follow an email. We do not pass this information on to third parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Service providers.<\/strong> We manage addresses and sending with the newsletter service of Infomaniak Network SA in Geneva. The data is stored in Switzerland. For the technical delivery, Infomaniak uses Amazon Web Services in Ireland (EU). Until October 2026 we used Mailchimp by Intuit Inc. (USA); the data held there is being deleted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Unsubscribing.<\/strong> Every email contains an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe by writing to info@caffe-billo.ch. After you unsubscribe, your address is kept only on a block list so that you receive no further emails from us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our website contains links, for example to Google Maps and to our Facebook page. We do not embed these services: no data is transferred until you click the link. The terms of the respective provider then apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We do not sell personal data. We pass it on only as far as necessary for the purposes described in this policy: to our hosting provider, to the postal service, to payment services and to the Google, WhatsApp and CusRev services mentioned. Some of these providers also process data in the EU or in the USA. For the USA we rely on the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses. For sending our emails, data is processed in Ireland (EU) and, until October 2026, also in the USA (Mailchimp, see section 10).<\/p>\n\n\n\n You can ask at any time what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to the processing and withdraw a consent you have given.
